The Limerick Opera and Music Project is thrilled to present an exciting lineup of events for 2024 and beyond, continuing our mission to bring world-class opera performances and cultural experiences to the heart of Limerick. Our 2024 calendar is filled with extraordinary performances, unique workshops, and community-focused events that celebrate the rich history and future of opera in our city.

We kick off in May 2024 with our Annual Opera Festival, showcasing a variety of performances from local talent and international stars. The festival will feature on-street opera performances, bringing the beauty of opera to public spaces across Limerick. Additionally, our Limerick Opera Trail Walk will take attendees on a guided tour of the city’s historical operatic landmarks, celebrating the contributions of icons like Catherine Hayes and Joseph O’Mara.

Operatic Memorabilia Exhibition, running throughout May, will display rare artifacts from the world’s most renowned opera houses, including Covent Garden and La Scala, paying homage to Limerick’s deep ties to the operatic world.

In July 2024, we will host The Catherine Hayes Young Artist Programme, offering young and emerging talent the opportunity to train with esteemed professionals and showcase their work in a special performance.

Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, we have planned more exciting events, including the Catherine Hayes Singing Competition and the Adare Suites Concert Series, offering unforgettable performances and experiences for opera lovers of all ages.
